Overall, they say it is a fairly simple design, looks nice and doesn’t require much maintenance. Users say the filters, or wicks, last 6-12 weeks depending on use. Expert Review I own the previous evaporative model. It has worked great. I like evaporative units for larger area humidification and this one is much quieter than the QuietCare Honeywell unit I had for a short time. I wanted a unit that humidified a large space and was easy to clean. For the money, this was a great option. I also recommend the new model. I have checked it out at the locally owned hardware store…they only carry the best quality products…and it looks nicer than my unit. The only problem I have ever had with my humidifier was the glugging sound when the water went into the reservoir. The new unit has eliminated this problem. It has a very effective, and simple design. While it’s not as easy to clean as the old model, it is still better than most. With the addition of a built in humidistat on the new model, it is an almost perfect humidifier. One of my top recommendations.
