Supentown Ultrasonic Humidifier and Vornado Evaporative Humidifier

I had to do a bit of research to find out which humidifier I had. I didn't even know it was an ultrasonic humidifier. I just picked one up at the store to keep the house more humid for my new baby. Well, I started looking for another one for the living room and from all the info I found on this website, I decided to find out what humidifier I had. It's the supentown ultrasonic humidifier- (SU-2000 I think.)

I decided to write a review because I did notice white dust on some of my furniture, but didn't think much of it until reading about the possible problems with white dust and ultrasonic humidifiers. I think the humidifier works great, but got concerned with the dust it creates and my baby inhaling it. Glad I found that out.

I do suggest to anyone who buys an ultrasonic humidifier to use distilled water- that seemed to help. But, that's kind of a pain to always have that around and haven't tried the demineral stick yet. Anyway, I just got the Vornado since it's an evaporative humidifier and I don't have to worry about the white dust being made anymore. I like it so far, easy to fill, use, keeps going for a long time between fills. Having both will hopefully keep the house at the right humidity level for all of us.
