Humidifier and Air Purifier in same room?

How should I place my humidifier(air-o-swiss) and air purifier(Whispure 510) in the same room without "clashing" with each other and be most effective? The humidifier is 3 feet up and the air purifier is standing on the floor. Seems that the steam flow is influenced by the airpurifier and the humidity should be higher! I have 3 parrots and need the air purifier and the humdifier in the same room.

Hi Marlisa,
Since you also live in Colorado (like myself) you know how important a humidifier is during these dry months. Lucky parrots that you also use an air purifier for them- the Whispure 510 purifier looks like a good one. It is no problem to have an air purifier and a humidifier in the same room. As long as the humidity stays below 50%, it won't affect the air purifier filter. Anywhere from 35-50% is ideal for humidity.

Since you are using the Air O Swiss ultrasonic humidifier, make sure you are using distilled water or a demineralization cartridge, so the white dust of the minerals doesn't get into the air for the birds. Also, just have the humidifier and air purifier as far apart as possible so the moisture doesn't go directly into the air purifier filter. I think the humidifier above and the air purifier on the ground should work well. As an experiment, you could try doing 12 hours of the humidifier alone to see if it affects the humidity, though if they are on opposite sides of the room, you should be fine. Just make sure the humidifier is on high and the purifier could probably be on medium or low since it's just for one room- depending on it's size.
