I have to change mine every 4-6 weeks with continuous use and hard water. I can extend the life by soaking the filters in vinegar water, then rinsing them out, every week or two.

Consumers give this unit 3 ½ stars out of five. They say it humidifies rooms very well and is quiet enough to run at night on med/low. Some highly recommend this unit and say it’s the best they’ve owned. The drawbacks stated were the filter replacement price and some thought it was too loud. There is a fan that blows on these units and if it is unbalanced, it will sound quite loud.

The air washing and humidifying is helpful for allergies. The humidistat is nice for humidity control. The drawbacks are that for some it’s too noisy. The tanks are a bit difficult to fill. Overall, if you want air purifying and humidifying, this is a decent unit. Don’t use the ioinizer as it likely produces ozone, which is irritating to the lungs. The ionizer can be turned off when the unit is on, which is good.
