Honeywell QuietCare Humidifier

The Honeywell QuietCare Humidifier evaporative models have filters that need to be changed, depending on how often you use them. The filters will generally cost between $7-$10. I have to change mine every 4-6 weeks with continuous use and hard water. I can extend the life by soaking the filters in vinegar water, then rinsing them out, every week or two.

Most Popular Honeywell QuietCare Humidifier models, including, Kaz, Vicks Humidifiers.

Vicks V3100 1 gallon cool mist evaporative humidifier. List price: $39.99 Translucent tank for easy fill monitoring. Up to 18 hours of continuous use per filling. Antibacterial wicking filter. Two settings high/low. Dishwasher safe tray for easy cleaning.

Overall users give really good reviews with a rating of 3 1/2 stars out of 5. They like many of the features and say it works well. On the down side users say their units leaked easily and were way too loud. I agree. This unit is too loud for a bedroom, but fine for small living areas. It only humidifies a small to medium size room with the door shut.

Honeywell HCM-630 QuietCare Cool Moisture Humidifier. List price: $39.99. This comes with a Protec cleaning cartridge and anti-microbial treated filter for water germ treatment. 3 settings. Manual humidity output regulator and empty auto shut off. 3 gallon per day output. For rooms 650-1050 sq ft.

Consumers give this unit 3 ½ stars out of five. They say it humidifies rooms very well and is quiet enough to run at night on med/low. Some highly recommend this unit and say it’s the best they’ve owned. The drawbacks stated were the filter replacement price and some thought it was too loud. There is a fan that blows on these units and if it is unbalanced, it will sound quite loud.

Honeywell HCM-6012i QuietCare console humidifier List price: $139.00. This unit is a humidifier and air washer in one. Air washing helps reduce dirt, pollen, and dust. 3 moisture settings. Auto shut off when empty. 11 gallon output per day. Runs up to 24 hours per filling. Humidifies up to 2300 sq ft. Digital humidistat for optimal humidity setting. Timer with 1-18 hour setting options. Ionizer included. Same as HCM-6011i, but this has additional digital display.

Consumers give this Honeywell quietcare humidifier 3 ½ stars out of 5. Benefits stated are easy to use, humidifies a large area, though not as large as stated. The air washing and humidifying is helpful for allergies. The humidistat is nice for humidity control. The drawbacks are that for some it’s too noisy. The tanks are a bit difficult to fill. Overall, if you want air purifying and humidifying, this is a decent unit. Don’t use the ioinizer as it likely produces ozone, which is irritating to the lungs. The ionizer can be turned off when the unit is on, which is good.
