Germ Guardian humidifiers have great features such as humidistats to control the amount of humidity released into your house or room. You can set it at the desired level. The units are virtually silent when operating, so they are great for baby nurseries and bedrooms. The low water indicator is helpful to know when to fill the tank. If the water runs out, there is an auto shut off feature for safety. The unique retro design on a few of the Germ Guardian models is fun. It looks more like a clock or radio from the 50âs than the old standard humidifier. They are compact and yet hold enough water to operate up to 72 hours on a filling depending on desired humidity level. These tend to be at the higher end of the price scale for room humidifiers. Are they worth it? It depends on the features you want on your humidifier. They definitely offer more than the standard features making them worth the money if those are important to you. Particularly the warm or cool mist option on some of the units is great. In the winter, I really prefer the warm mist, but since itâs more expensive to operate, I donât want to run it more than I have to. I can switch back to the cool mist when itâs not so cold at night.
